485 Status change

I got my FP notice 3 weeks back for Dec 30th and I did early FP on Dec 9th in Newark

But, my case status is still saying" APP received in 2003"

It doesnt say anything about "FP notice being sent" or "FP received"

I called USCIS hotline and they just repeated the same thing"APP received in 2003".

I am worried that there is a miscommunication some where

Has anybody been in a similiar situation

My 485 status also did not change after FP ..it still says the same message "app received etc.." ..don't worry about it, i have seen people got their approvals without a single message change
 
did your FP used ink?

I think it is to do with the method used to do FP. If it is computer based, then message gets reflected within few days (may be some automated batch process) and if it is ink based it could take some time to communicate the result to USCIS(might be manual entry into USCIS system??)

What cbeking saying is correct. There are people who got approved without any FP status message.
 
In my case , LUD for 485 not changed while i received FP notice. After FP done, my LUD change after 7 days with "FP RCVD" message.

I guess u can see LUD change soon.
 
I did my fingerprinting in SanJose ASC. Laser based fingerprinting not ink based.

Same thing happened to me. My status didn't change to "FP notice being sent" when I received the notice. I did my FP in Newark and status didn't change to "FP received" after this either but my LUD changed after 10 days and then my case was approved in a week. Status was still showing "Application received in 2004.... " until it was updated to "This case has been approved."
 
How many fingers did they print you? I did one two days ago at my local Norfolk ASC, they just printed my right hand index finger and took my picture with their camera. And my FP request was triggered by my EAD renewal request. :confused:
Not sure is the same as the I485 FP because mine was a request of action for my EAD not 485.

I gave FPs 45 days ago and like yourself I still have my message saying "app was received on marrch... blah... blah..."...

I just contacted VCS and confirmed that they received my FP results and it's just the message somehow did not get updated. note also that I did not have even FP mailed message...

so, no worries... just wait and the approval will come.

EAD FP and 485 FP

are different. If you e-file your EAD / EAD renewal, you will have to get your pic taken and quick FP not of all fingers.

The 485 FP is different, and will be of all your fingers
