485 RFE, PD Aug 2001, means anything to rest of the Folks?

Yesterday I have got a mail from USCIS re my wife's 485. PD is Aug 28 2001, EB3.

She is on F1 rightnow and never used AP. She had h4 before getting F1. Not sure what will be in the RFE. No change in my LUD.

Does this mean that processing dates moved to Aug 2001 ?

It is a mystery as to what they are doing. Processing date is 2005, only priority date is not current for you (if u r in EB3). I saw one other guy on this forum got some RFE with PD of April 2001, he never reported details of RFE. I think guessing won't help in ur case , just wait for RFE

asnssf,

Service centers are working cases while they are retrogressed. They do not have much work right now because of retrogression and are hence working on pending cases to get them ready for approval. The RFE for your wife is most likely "Proof of Legal Status". My wife got the same. A lot of dependents get this type of RFE to ensure that they have been in the country legally.

Thanks everyone. I wanted to ask about 'preadjudication', but I found the answer @ Murthy's Site

saras76 also said the same.
