485 REF ISSUED - May 29 2001.

I have called VSC this week and talked to IIO. She said a ref is issued.
I am not sure what is the REF is about. I have sitiuation here.

My 485 was filled on Jan 25 2000 by my consulting company. This year Feb 2001 (180 days is passed) I have taken job with my client that I was working for 6 yrs now.
I had talked to my lawyer and he suggested it is OK to do this under AC21.

Will there be any problem with REF and or interview. Pls advice

  I am also in same boat.
Pd 10/98 RD 3/27/00 ND 3/31/00. FP 3/29/01. Changed employer in Feb-2001. I got a RFE reg current employemt letter+ 3 pay stubs. ICan you please advise us what i have to do. Whether we need to take advatage of !C21 Law or not. Did you guys know any one who got advantage of AC21 Law(i mean any one got approval with AC21 law).

As far as I know the law is there. So INS can not deny your / our application. They can certainly delay the same as they may not have procedures to deal with this kinda cases.

I think INS will have to publish the regulation to deal with this when more and more similar cases emerge,
if they deny , they might have to face lawsuit since law is there, right now , they just take the time.

AC21 is not yet endorsed by INS. You may have some trouble in front of you. Get a good lawyer immidiately. How do you guys take such important decisions without talking to lawyers? Especially as you know that this country is indeed a country of laws and rules. God save you!

I have talked to my lawyer. He has suggested me to go ahead and change job and teake employement with compnay I have worked for 6 yrs. According to him in fact it is the same job I have been doing for 6 yrs.

So I have consulted my lawyer then acted on this. I hope everything is fine when interview comes. He aslo have said he will come with me for an interview if requires.

So I am sure this should not be problem.
