485 Receipt notice

Hi,

Does anyone know how long it takes to receive 485 receipt notice from Vermont Service Center.

I was told that if we submit the personal checks for processing fees then we could know when check gets cashed by USCIS from bank records. Does anyone know how long it takes for USCIS to cash the check.

I sent my application on 12/07/04, which was received by USCIS on 12/08/04. And the receipt notices were mailed out to me on 12/13/04.

Hope this helps.
 
Mine was filed in SF two days before Christmas. Check was cashed one week later. No receipt yet.
 
Receipts received on 01/05

I filed on 12/17 and received all my receipts (I 140/485/765) on 01/05

RD - 12/20
ND - 12/23
 
Ead ???

Those who filed in December2004 received any EAD's ???? Just Curious ..

I know one of my friend who filed for EAD in November got his Approval in just 2 weeks...

Received EAD card for me. For my wife's EAD, I received a message saying they need additional evidence.

AP's approved for everybody.

Has any of you in this forum received any RFE's on EAD's and if yes then what might me the RFE's, Just wondering.

Any experiences.

My 485/765 and my wife's 485/765/131 was mailed Dec 4, recieved Dec 08, notice on Dec 16. LUD Dec 29, 30. By now I have not got EAD yet, less lucky than PGEDDAM.

Today, my wife's 765/131 both were updated, saying: mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information.

Anyone can give me some idea what it might be about? so I can prepare ahead of time. (My wife needs AP urgently, and I need EAD urgently.)

The only guess I have now is: I concurrently filed 485/765/131 in one mail package. I put only one copy of marriage certificate there ((may be with 485 form). I did mention in the cover letter that if some materials needed, please go to 485 applicaiton. They may be lazy to check.

On 140 LUD is 12/30/04 .....???????????

No clue what might me the RFE on my wife's EAD.

Thanks for your thread about RFE info regarding to your wife's AP. That's true that we used digitally printed photoes from CVS. But I think most of studioes are now using digital cameras for photo. Where can I get an optical photo?
BTW, I noticed that there is no RFE for your wife's EAD application. Does that mean digital photo is OK for EAD?

If you look at the information that I have posted about the RFE on my wife's AP, the last bullet point clearly states that digital photos are not accepted for AP (I-131). It doesn't say EAD, so I guess digital is ok for EAD. Besides we had submitted same photos for EAD and it was approved without any issues.

I looked around for photo studios in my area that take passport photos, but all of them use digital prints. Finally I found out that the local post office takes non-digital photos.

Has anyone used photos from the post office for their AP application before?
