If one aborts I485 process or if I485 gets denied after having worked on EAD, is one considered out of status.

Can this person enter in US again on H1 visa after spending 1 year in home country.

Someone mentioned you get 30 days to leave US.

You can enter USA with a new H1 (subject to cap) (I am not sure about the rule which says you have live outside US for 1 year in order to get H1 again after 6 year H1 completed).
