485 processing with spouse

My 485 details are as follows :-

RD: 01/07/2002
ND: 01/15/2002
FP: 02/20/2002

I have changed my employer once(after more than 6 months). I went to India and married in Dec 2002. And in order to get my wife, i got myself an H1 and got my wife here on a H4.
Subsequently, after returning to USA, i applied for my wife's 485 in Jan' 2003 as a dependent.

My case should be up for processing soon.

My question is :-
Will my GC processing be on hold until they my wife's gets approved i.e. Will they approve our cases together?
OR
Will they approve my case first since it is due and then subsequently approve my wife's case(though her priority will be moved up)?

I am worried 'cos I may be laid off by my company since my project is getting over or at the lease i may not get paid in which case i will have missing pay stubs.
Has anyone had a similar case, filing for spouse separately and after own filing ?
 
My lawyer told me you can't apply 485 twice if your case is on hold, then you can't apply through your wife again.

Don't know if it's true.
 
As per my lawyer your case will be picked up for decision first then your wife's case will be taken later.

I filed mine in Jan 2002 and got married in Feb 02 and applied 485 for my wife in Apr 02.

Changed employer in Aug 02.

I applied thru my wife she was a primary applicant and she had already applied before marraige. Her RD was 08/06/01. She got laid off by the sponsoring company in June 2002 and she joined another company in June 2002. She didn't inform INS about . She got her approval in end of Aug, 2002 and also her card in Ocober 2002.
My RD was 10/22/01 and my case was approved on 02/15/03. I got the stamping done on 02/28/03 and my card has been ordered on 03/24/03 and I am waiting for that.
Hope this info helps. Our case is similar as your except that dependent in Our case(myself) was on H1 and not on H4.
 
Approved only for primary today April3

Don't know why but only my I485 got approved today.
Spouse's and son's have not been approved.
My file was lost and the Senator's office helped get my case approved. As my spouse's file and my son's files would have been together, stands to reason that they also would be missing.
Will wait a week before contacting the senator's office.
