485 - priority date

I filed 485 in CSC. 485 receipt shows my 485 receipt date as priority date. Is it correct?
it is not showing my LC filing date as priority date.

Does it mean the Actual PD doesn\'t matter once 485 is filed?

Guys this question has been nagging me.
I know your PD has to be current to be able to Apply to I-485. But my question is what if the dates retrograde(go back) after applying and you ACTUAL PD is no more current. Will your case has to wait or it doesn\'t matter once applied?

From what i read, the dates are not going back for atleast a year.
So, relax do not think about those.

Since You wanted an answer.....

You "have to wait" till the dates become current. This will happen to majority of the people. But for some cases(other service centers), INS has approved even if the dates are not current.
