485 pending and new H1

Hi,
Couldn't find anything on this topic. So starting a thread -
I have a 485 pending and have EAD and Parole current. H1 has expired earlier so I am working on EAD currently. Still working in the same company which filed my GC so no complication there.

The question is - can I file a new H1? Is it going to affect my current GC application? What will happen in the scenarios of H1 getting rejected or approved when I go for stamping somewhere outside the country?

Why am I doing this?
Just for extra safeguard and also there is lot of pain in keeping the AP and EAD current. I do intend to keep them current but sometimes it becomes out of your control and hopefully h1 will help.

Any help on this matter will be appreciated.

yes you can go for H1 even after using EAD. Just keep in mind that EAD time will also be counted towards the 6 yr limit (no biggee since 485 is pending and so you are eligible for 7/8 yr extensions)
If H1 is rejected, your 485 protects your status. H1 approval does not affect 485 processing. Once past 6 months from RD of 485 (and a I140 approval) you can use any kind of employment authorization.
