485-online status date

Dear all,
on USCIS website, update date of my case has changed but not the status message. This has happened several times in the past. I am not sure what to make of it.

Could someone please elaborate?

everytime your case is processed that date changes. INS internal process may not effect you status. That shaws advancement.

I just wonder what internal process could be ? Mine got updated the same 2 times since I submit last month (just on my I485, but not on the rest of applications )

I called them up. They say their system shows change of address. But I haven't changed my address since filing of GC. Also interesting to note that the address on their file is my correct address.

I wonder where is my case. But yeah it does point towards some progress.

It might be also change of address of your lawyer. Check this point with your lawyer.
