485 filing process

Dear 485 gurus:
I got my I-140 approved finally and plan to file 485 on 9/1/00. My attorney is a very bad guy and created a lot of trouble for me during my first two stages. Can I file 485 by myself without his involvement? What steps do I need to take? Thanks for your response!!!

You can file your I485 by yourself. Filing with the document as shown on I485 form, such as copy of birth cert., I-94, and etc.
One thing you need to caution of meeting INS filing standard that is not saying on I485 instruction form. For example, some service centers do need you to copy all pages of passport to them. For detail filing instruction, you can go to www.immigration-law.com, then I485 folder. They give you detail info of how to file your I485.
