485 - EAD question ..pls hlep

Hi,
My EAD is expiring in a month. I had filed for another one quite a while back. No response. Can someone please suggest what are my options? Will I have to stop working until I do recieve it?

BTW I am one of those concurrent filer with I140 approved and waiting fo 485.

You cannot work

while your EAD is pending........You may have to take a leave......

If more than 90 days has passed since you applied for EAD, u can go to your local service Centre for an EAD
 
Yes it is pending for more than 90 days. So can I just walk in the service center where you go for your Finger Print and ask them for an EAD?

How does it work?

Yes, but:

1) Make sure you bring your I-765 receipt. BCIS local offices will not issue the EAD unless you can prove you've been waiting >90 days.

2) Bring your I-485 receipt. Although they should be able to find your case, it always makes life simpler to prove your eligibilty by the I-485 receipt. It also has your petition # and A# on it, to help look you up.
 
cool thanks. I live in CA and my application is in VSC. Will they cause any problems regarding that?

I am planning to go there tomorrow and try my luck. Please let me know of any any other caveats or documents they might ask for.
