485 Case transfer letter after approval ?

Hello Guys,

My wife's 485 was approved along with mine in Dec 2007.

Today I got a letter for her saying case transfered to NYC (letter dated August 2006)

What is going on ? Anybody has heard this before ?

I know where you are going. The thing that caught me off guard was that the notice data was Aug 2006... but the letter was delivered (post marked June 2008)

I am counting on this being a glitch in their software which will be soon corrected... Just wondering if anyone has received a similar (back dated) notice AFTER the application approval.
 
What the USCIS web site says? If it still says approved/or card ordered/mailed, then i don't think there any need to worry.
 
Was the case indeed transferred to NY? (if you were interviewed in NY, then it definitely was transferred there)

If you have no reason to believe it was ever transferred to NY, receiving that letter would be really strange.
