Hi everyone,

Checked AVM this morning and heard "This case had been approved..."
I still cannot believe this is true. Thought I can share this with you all and keep the spirits up.

My case detail
RD: 12/00
ND: 1/01
FP: 4/7/01
Approved: 6/19

Best of luck!

By the WAC-number, is it possible for us to relate the progress of our application? For example, if we take a general WAC-number, say, WAC-01-080-xxxxx, what does the number \'01\' convey? What does \'080\' convey? Finlay, what does the last five digits convey? Perhaps, this issue was discussed before. If it was so, can somebody indicate where those discussions are available, please?

My actual ND is 1/11/01.

I did talk to an immigration officer about 10 days ago and she told me that the case was
"being processed", she only asked me for WAC# but refused to give any detail. When I
asked her if they have received my FP, or whether the case has been assigned,
she said she couldn\'t tell, but she told me the paper work was "moving around".
So I think it is possible that once the case is being adjudicated, they cannot retrieve much information from the system.

Hope this helps.

Ravi,

My understanding is that the \'01\' stands for the INS fiscal
year 2001. INS fiscal year begins in Oct, so the 01 stands
for a receipt issued between Oct 2000 and Oct 2001.

The 080 stands for the 80th working day in that fiscal year,
so WAC-01-080- means the receipt was issued sometime in Dec 00.
The last five digits are just serial numbers for all receipts
 issued that day.

From my limited understanding of the myseteries of INS...
