485 Approved

Talked to an IIO this morning, 485 apporved and notice sent to Department of Justice for the visa.

RD- 07/18/00
ND- 08/11/00
FP- 02/07/01
LIN 00232xxxxx, EB-2
Country- Canada, wife- India

Could somebody tell me what\'s the procedure after this and how long it may take before the passport is stamped. Thanks.
 
Congratulations !

I guess, you should receive the approval notice in mail, may be in a week or so, which you need to take to local INS office and get your passport stamped.
 
Interview in Chicago

Anybody waiting for the interview in Chicago. I got my approval notice in mail but it doesn\'t have any appointment for interview. Talked to an IIO about that and she said there is a heavy backlog and they are not giving interview appointments for new cases.

In the absense of the interview, can somebody work on the basis of the approved I-485 notice or still an EAD is required.

What if you go to Chicago INS office

What if you go to Chicago INS office and ask them to stamp. They might stamp. If it is convenient, probably you should try .
