I want to share my good news.
Got a LUD about 485 approval. It has been a 14 year journey for GC !

Yes, it has been a long journey. It nearly drove me crazy as my career depended on getting grants, thus I needed GC to apply for grants.

Spulla: my county is India, but I was eligible for cross-chargeability as my wife is from a non-retro country.

14 Years is a long long time, I am already fed up with more than 4 years. You really have patience.

Why did it take so so long time?

It took me a long time partly due to my stupidity and also due to some tough luck.
I delayed some parts of my application myself at one stage and one thing lead to another and then retrogression caught up with me along with Name check ! Should have gotten it in 2003 or 2004. Also, I did not listento my lawyer in 1999 and thus paid the price with a long long delay.

I was in EB-2
PD Aug 2005.

What was your sequence of I-485 Approval?. I got the email of I-485 approval on November 27 but after that I didn't get any other email..kinda curious know how is it happening for others

I saw the 485 approval notice online. Then, I saw several LUDs ( 4 in a row, one daily) and next thing we got the card in the mail without any notice the same week.

Which center are you at ?

Yes, it has been a long journey. I guess this what life is. Got to handle what comes one's way. I saw immigration.com start in 1996 and started trolling the webpage since then.
