Hi all!

I just found out that my and spouse 485s are approved and card will be in the production. My wife got the RFE for her 485 (marraige proof) on 03/06/06 and we responsed immediately. Response was received on 03/09/06. Today both 485's were approved.

Here are the details :
EB1-OR non-concurrent NSC
I-140 RD July 2003: RFE (job permanency and more evidence for outstanding researcher) November 2004: 140 AD July 14 2005.
I-485 (Primary and derivative) RD Aug 15 2005, biomet code 3 Oct 10, 2005 (myself), Nov 5, 2005 (spouse): RFE for spouse on 03/06/06.
I-485 AD 03/16/06.

Thank you guys. glad that finally it is all over. 485 went smoothly compared to 140 which took 2 yrs to get approved. Hope you guys will get it approved very soon.

cbr_139, No, I did not put any special efforts or anything to expedite name check. I checked the status after 6 months of the 485 application RD and name checks were cleared by then. I did not know when it was initiated and cleared.

Toxsci, Thanks. You will have your approvals soon. If possible, try to get some help from congressmen's office. It helps to get the actual status of the applications. Good luck.

I did contact congressman and they recently received reply from FBI stating that the security clearance is pending! (FBI received the request from USCIS in Nov 2004 it seems..ie. within 10 days of 485 filing).
 
LUD after approval

After we learnt about approvals on 03/16/06, we saw an LUD on today (saturday) followed by the automated approval emails of 485. It did not say anything about the cards are ordered or anything. Hope cards will arrive sometime next week.

Mine was non-concurrent. 140 was filed on July 2003 and approved in July 2005.
Then 485 were filed on August 2005.

Indoamerican, Thanks for your wishes. In your case, after approval of 485, did you receive email saying after approval, cards are ordered? or just email about the 485 approved? I did not receive an email about the cards ordered. I did biometrics code 3 in october 2005.

Hi Bhakum,

Yes, We got 2 different emails on the same day. I don't think you have anything to worry. If you are concerned perhaps you can get infopass and get it stamped.

Current Status:

This case has been approved. On March 1, 2006, an approval notice was mailed. If 14 days have passed and you have not received this notice, you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address, please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283.



2. Application Type: I485 , Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status

Current Status:

On March 1, 2006, after approving your application, we ordered you a new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready.

3. On March 6th, we got this:

Application Type: I485 , Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status

Current Status:

On March 6, 2006, the card order was completed and we mailed the applicant's new card directly to him or her. If 14 days have passed and you have not received this card, you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address, please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283.
 
Thanks indoamerican for your reply. I will wait for few more days to see if I get any emails about the cards. Passport stamping is required even with the cards?
I am not planning to travel in the near future.
