485 Approved while we are out of the country

All,

We (me and my wife) got our approval mails while we are out of the country on AP. We are scheduled to re-enter the US on AP on 01/16/05. Does any one know what are the next steps that we need to take?

Any suggestion will be welcome.

me too, me too. checked online while abroad and saw the approval of both i140 and i485... scheduled to return on jan 2nd, i have h1b, never got ap. advice needed. thanks!
 
At port of Entry, you will be entering on Advance Parole i.e going thru the secondary check. As if no approval took place.

After arriving here, you will take an appointment and go thru stamping process.

My wife and I had the same situtaion. We have had our I-140/485 approved while we were there in India. I came back after 16 days of approval and used AP at the port of entry. No single question was asked. Just show/give your AP docs (both/2 copies) and passport at the POE and everything will be fine.

Regarding using H1 on return, I am not sure but I was told by someone that one can use H1-B VISA at POE. This is my assumption only. Please consult your company/layer for a safe bet.

Note: I am not a layer, Please act upon your own sense & decision.
 
What if I got the passport stamped with my 485 approval while I am in US and my spouse doesnt have a stamp but have AP and approved while away from US and will enter US along with me. Will there be any problem for her?
 
Confusing situation

cansome one please look this confusing situation, my wife has a RFE in her I485 so my attorney sent response this Monday(Jan-10) and yesterday i got e-mail that , INS got REF response, this RFE is nothing just "two affidavit in birth certificate:

My question is, we are travelling to india on jan 20 and in case INS approve this case in next three fours days, can my wife travel on Advance Parole and after coming from India, she can go for Stamping or I heard, if you have I485 approval in your hand during entry, they will stamp passport.

Please help me because I have to change my travel plan and I have to pay huge money.

I have my green card . Please look this confusing situation and suggest me.

where can i check the status of my 1485 online?

Do I need my receipt #? And if so, my receipt # that I have starts with wpb, and it never wokrs when I try to enter it over the phone.
