485 Approved - thanks

EB2 India

How does one know that the name check is in process or has been completed. Is there a way to contact the FBI office for status. My I140 & I485 were applied concurrently in July just before EB2 (India) retrogressed in Aug. I still got the FP, EAD, AP, 1-140 all approved in Aug. There was an LUD on the 485 two days after FP. Does it mean name check got cleared at that time. There was an LUD again on 10/1. I am not sure what that was for. As per the Nov visa bulletin, EB2 (India) is going to progress beyond my PD so my 485 processing should continue beginning Nov. Does it mean I am very close to 485 approval.
 
Don't loose ur hope friend! in my case I never had a single lud.

I am sorry I did not realize that your signature states the service center as VSC.

I never got an email saying card has been ordered. Just an email saying a welcome notice has been sent. My husband got email saying card has been ordered. Few days later cards for both of us arrived in the mail, even before the welcome notice.

kaleam, is the photo on your card the one you submitted when filing I-485 or the one they took at the biometrics appointment?

Think the answer is probably the former, but actually have been wondering...

It looks like the photo taken along with FPs not the one which I had submitted with the application.

I second that. The photo on my card is the photo they took at ASC with my FPs.

May be it would be too early but I was just curious.
 
Oh, I feel so unlucky after I read this thread.
My EB-1 case is stuck in name check for about 1.5 year...

Let's see... Well, first off - CELEBRATE!

After that... Continue working and living in the US as GC is all you need for that. Might want to get a new SS card if your old one has restrictions printed on it. If you think you'll be interested in becoming a citizen down the road (5 years later, unless you are married to a US citizen - then only 3 years later), make sure you pay your taxes, don't leave the country for too long, etc. Check out http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/howdoi/PermRes.htm (for more info download and read "A Guide For New Immigrants").
