Just checked the AVM. Case approved on 11/28. Still waiting for
the letter in the mail.

Details:
RD: 3/15
ND: 4/5
FP: 8/1 (on schedule)
AD: 11/28

According to IIO, Investigative agency report received on 10/18.
Case assigned to an officer on 11/7.

my RD/ND dates are also same. MY WAC : WAC-01-150-xxxxx. But I got RFE and my attorney sent the required documents to INS. So I am also waiting to join your side.

Congrats and question for you

I called IIO and she said Case has been assigned to officer. Does this mean Agency check is complete? Do u think I can ask IIO next time if "agency check" is complete for my case? Pls. advise

I think your case can be assigned to an officer before the agency
check can be complete. 485 is processed according to the adjudicating
officer\'s discretion in this. The officer may choose to approve the
case without waiting for agency check. Next time when you talk to
IIO ask if investigative agency checks are completed for your case.

Congratulations to C A Waiter on his approval.

But I totally disagree with him when he says:
"The officer may choose to approve the
   case without waiting for agency check"

There is no agency other than FBI that INS needs
to contact. They do not go through any other
background check. This is the explanation for
"agency check":

1) When INS issues a FP Notice to the applicant,
their system reflects this by stating:

"agency check issued on xx/xx/xx"

This means FP notice has been issued.

2) When INS receives the FP report from FBI (after
you take the Finger Prints at the local ASC), the
information is sent by FBI to the central INS system.
At a later time, this FBI report (FP results) move from
this central system to the local CSC center system. This
is reflected in their system as:

"Investigative Report/agency check received on xx/xx/xx"

So when you talk to an IIO, if you hear
"agency check issued..." means you can expect a FP notice soon.
else,
"agency check received..." means your FP results are in their
local system.

The case is not assigned to an officer till the FP results are
received by CSC.

The above is my understanding of the flow at INS/CSC.
