After waiting for about 5 years and 9 months, the whole GC process is over. Details are below.

Case 1. EB3 –
02/95 – LC applied. Waited for two years. Many queries screwed up
the case by every one involved. At last I requested to
                drop the case.

Case 2. EB2 –
12/98 – LC applied from a different state and approved on 08/99.
Thinking of recapturing the EB3 PD from case 3. By this
time I had applied for 485 and did not pursue for I140.

Case 3. EB3 – PD 02/10/97. EAC-99-255-XXXXX
02/97 – LC applied and approved on 01/98
        02/98 – I140 applied and approved on 11/98. Waited 21 months to
apply for I485, as the dates were not current.
        08/99 – 485 Applied

        2 EAD’s, 2 AP’s, NO RFE.

07/00 – FP. This was another mess. ISN completed FP and FBI did
not receive it. I was shuttling between FBI & INS to see
what happened. At last I requested FBI to request INS to
retransmit the FP to FBI. Apparently FBI did not receive
the FP transmitted by INS for a specified period of time.
After verifying FBI figured out that they received the FP
transmission but unfortunately FP was not in! This was
                all fixed by 08/29/00
11/3/00 – As per INS VM, case got approved. Now waiting for the
                notice.

NB: In between applied for Canadian PR and currently holding Canadian PR.

Congrats Jimmy. By the way can you give any details on how to apply for Canadian PR, how long it would take etc. if not any resource which would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Congratulations Jimmy. You got your approval at last, after a long wait and going through a lot of procedural delays. I am very happy for you. Wish you good luck in your career.
I think now\'s the right time to take some time off from work and go on a vacation with your family, relax and take it easy - Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays are coming up !!

I do not think so. It is the federal funding issue that creates the delay and nothing else. I know it was the concerned authority delayed the process in every step.

Every one has the right to get GC irrespective how many times one has to apply.

Taurus,
Put yourself in Jimmy\'s place and think over the situation. You would have done the same thing. He had to take these steps. What was the other option? Especially after waiting that long without any outcome; can you imagine a person\'s state of mind in such a scenario?
It was not his fault, and there was no intention to "delay the whole process", as you think.
Don\'t worry, we will get our approvals too. There\'s no use blaming people for applying GC more than once.

Wish you good luck.
