485 Approved on Oct 1st - ND: 4/2002

Finally after 2.5 years, our 485 got approved and received the email yesterday. EB2-RIR, same employer, no RFEs. Faxed once about expiring FP for my spouse. Had 3 EADs and 2 APs. Was about to apply for 3rd AP.

Details:

I-485 ND: 4/17/2002
FP for spouse: 3/2003
Nothing happens
FP for myself (primary applicant): 7/2004
2nd FP for spouse: 9/23/2004
AD: 10/1/2004 (Just 8 days after FP!)

For FPs, we always went within a day or two of receiving the requests and not waiting till the appointment date. Best time to go to the Atlanta ASC - 2.45 - 3 pm on weekdays except monday. They are usually caught up by that time.
 
I-485 status message

I've got the 2nd FP scheduled on Sep 28, but since I planned a trip to Canada, I went to SF on Sep 25 to have FP done. Now I noticed from online status (while I am still in Canada), which says:

"On Sep 30, the document we made based on the approval or registeration of this case was mailed directly to the person to whom issued".

Is this a approval or something else. Thanks.
