485 approved but got a biometric request

My 485 was approved in december. Before that I did fingerprinting in november. I recently recieved a notice to appear for biometric...what is this ? Is this same as fingerprinting ? Why again ?
Iam not complaining but need to understand...thats all
 
Bio is when they click your picture and take a finger print of your index finger. It will appear on your GC.
I am assuming you have not got your card up until now.

have you received your card? have you done passport stamping?
If not, they need your biometrics for the issuance of your plastic card.
 
I did my bio and passport stamping on dec 2005, still no card yet.
Any idea how long does it take

did you ask the reason why your case is pending after responding to RFE?
I have similar trends of LUDs as yours after replying to RFE and then silent.
 
Thanks Yall....I have done passport stamping but not recieved the cards. I did not realise a picture need to be taken. I hear the card can take anywhere from 2 months to 6 months

I got this message a couple of a few days back. I did an address change on Friday and hene the message.
Did you do any address change recently?

Infact i did the address change in Nov'05 but did not get any LUD ..but suddenly i get this message...As you said it might be for the address change..maybe someone did realise that the address was changed but the online message wasn't changed...Or maybe just to show that USCIS is doing something on the case they changed the LUD message :D
