Hi,
My I-485 application was transferred to local INS office in March 2001. My case was approved after an interview and my passport stamped with I-551 in July 2001. However, the AVM (when I call the 949-831-8427 number) does not seem to reflect this approval; it still says that my case has been transferred to the local INS office and I should wait to hear from them.
My question is :
Will this cause me any problems when I travel abroad and try to re-enter US using my I-551 stamp? Could it be that some data entry still needs to be made by the local INS office to show that my case was indeed approved in July 2001.
I would appreciate any personal experiences or other information on this.
Thanks in Advance.
