Wowww... what a feeling at least for the first 5 minutes!!!

Called NSC this morning, got the line after 50 minutes,
on hold for 15 minutes, and the IIO(he) told that our
cases were approved on 11/19/2001(yesterday). He also
verified our address and said we should receive the
approvals by mail early next week.

FYI... My wife from home conferenced me at work.

My GC application details:
Initial PD in CSC : 30-MAY-1997
Waited for 1.5 years and
case was pending (NON-RIR)

Applied again in RIR with
(CSC) PD : 20-NOV-1998

I-140 in CSC (took 13 months)
I-485 applied in NSC as I worked
in Chicago and thought NSC is
faster than CSC

I-485(NSC)
RD : 28-AUG-2000
ND : 18-SEP-2000
FP : 21-FEB-2001 @Chicago
LIN#: LIN 00-259-5xxx

Company was acquired by another and name change,
so did I-140 amendment at CSC
EAD renewed and working with 2nd EAD
Talked to IIOs several times(4 or 5 times)
Send "Additional documents to NSC" with new I-140
Our Attorney called NSC on 23-OCT-2001
and NSC promised to pull our cases and decide within 30 days or call back again.

Today, according to IIO, it was approved on 19-NOV-2001
AVM changed today with good new(NOT even yesterday night)
So, I guess/believe the AVM is updated every night.

My case RFE was sent on Nov 1 but lawyer has not got it yet. They have resent (i called after 14 days, i just cant believe what they say)...

It is frustarting and just dont know what to do....God help me!

Gajvar, some news...

I just checked the AVM again now and and it was updated. looks like the RFE was resent on Nov 20 (originally said nov 1)...so i have to wait. Hope this time my lawyer gets it.

It gives me some hope as my I140 was applied on CSC and my case is very similar. working in chicago so applied in NSC.

Hello GAJVAR, I have a question for U, will there be a seperate phone # to INS, in case if our ATTORNEY\'s has to call them, or they have to contact the same phone # to NSC as we do normally, which takes hours to gether to get them online, it is really SUCKS when U call them, could U pl thro some lite on this,????? COULD U PL CHECK WITH YOUR ATTORNEY WHAT PHONE # TO INS, NSC HE CALLED ON OCTOBER 23,2001, probably I will ask my attoreny to call the same #, Your help is greatly appreciated, my e mail is ramukesi@yahoo.com

It is a different phone which every Attorney should know. They(our) won\'t give it to us and we cannot call in that number. They also have a special fax number for the Attoneys ONLY. Sorry, I don\'t know those numbers. But ur Attorney should definetly know about this. Pl ask him/her.

Again Congrats!!

My company lawyer is not willing to call INS yet. He wants to wait for another month. My case is not yet assigned to an officer.

Anyways I had a chance to talk to an IIO on 11/9. She was very nice and told me that she would put in a request to pull my file and asked me to wait for a month before calling again. Hope this thing works out.
