485 approval process

Hi folks,

    I have taken my finger prints on July 8, 2000. I have not heard
anything afterwards from anyone including my useless attorney. Does
anyone know how long does it take for 485 approval?
What is this passport stamping after 485 approval? Is this a must
process? What if your passport has expired?
I also want to know if there is anything I can do to expedite the
process?

Please share you experience with the rest of us.

I also have given my finger prints in the same time frame. I think we both are in the same boat. However, I have been in touch with my attorney and she says it takes 12 to 18 months from the date of receipt for you to get the 485 approval. Yes, passport stamping is only after you get your 485 approval. If your passport has expired better get it renewed ASAP. Good Lunck !!
