Hello folks.
I received my 485 approval notice in mail today. But it does not
say anything about going for stamping etc. Should I expect another
notice in mail directing me to do that ?
The approval notice only says that, its approved and your card has been
ordered and I should receive it in 120 days....

Anyone in same situation?

I heard in the recent days that they quickly process the card itself and send it out. Looks like they are trying to elimitate the passport stamping process. In my case, I received the approval notices yesterday and they say to schedule an infopass apointment and apprear for the stamping. In my view its normal.

Details on my case:

EB2/Sub labor (PD was Jan 2001)
140: RD - 12/8/04 , LUD: 2/15, 5/10. Approved: 5/23/05
485: RD - 2/11/05, LUD: 3/14. Approved: 5/23/05 (same day as 140)

I hope you did FP with code 3, including biometrics information (Digital photo, signature etc.). In such a case, you do not need PP stamping and will receive your card directly. I received mine in about a week from approval. Mine was in VSC.

Thanks EricS. If I do not go to the local office for getting the PP stamp,
then how will I surrender my I-94, EAD and AP ? Or should I just keep that
with me?

I got my card and still have those things with me, I do not know if we must surrender these. Anyway, I am just keeping those as memorabilia for now ;)

Seriously, I do not know what to do with these items. Anyone?
