485 approval Finally for SR countries

I got my status changed ( and for my wife) on INS website it says your case got approved on April 22. Just for the record I am from a special registrant country..

RD Sep 15 01
ND Oct 19 01
FP April 4 02

RFE for Employment Dec 22 02
RFE responded Jan 7Th 03

REF response Rcvd ( Jan 10th 03) as p[er website

Approval notice mailed April 22 03 as per website

Did you get any RFE for Special Reg?

My RD is the same as yours, ND 10/15/01
RFE for employment & medical on 12/02 received 1/17/03
nothing since then.

I got an RFE for special registration during my I-140 processing.

Did you include your employment letter with your I-485 application? If yes, why was the RFE issued? And what did they ask for?

My lawyer did include employment letter like everyone else in the 485 application but sinmce 9/11 its a common RFE from INS to ask for latest employmnet letter (as 14 months have passed since 485 application). I know many friends have been asked with the employment letter in their RFE's in recent months just before getting the final approval
