485 application finally approved

My 485 application was finally approved. I didn't get any LUD on approval and the message also didn't change. No emails either from USCIS.
I just called the emergency number to inquire about it as I always do around this time of the month. Wonder what I will do next month :)

It was a Labor Subs. case whose PD was Sept. 2001 (I think). So here is another case which validates that GC keeps LCs PD.

485 RD: 21st Jan 2004
485 AD: 25th Mar 2005 :D

Second FP: 1st April, 2005 - Code 3 with Biometrics. My application was already approved at that time.

FBI Finger printing completed on Mar 5th 2005. I called the emergency number on March 11th 2005 to let them know that the FBI name check had cleared. The lady took the necessary time to call another department and tell the person to mark the case as FBI name check recd. and start processing on the case ASAP. She was very very helpful.

I suggest everyone who are waiting after namecheck cleared to call the emergency number and tell them that the name check has cleared and they should start processing their case.

Thanks a lot to this forum for sharing experience and providing support for a period of nearly 4 years from LC to Approval.

All the best to everyone else on this forum. A lot of good wishes are needed to get through this ardous process.

I also called emergency number today. I was told that they have got FBI clearance but name check field is blank. I was asked if I had done the I 89 processing. When asked what that means, I was told that it means bio metrics, which is needed for issuing GC card.

The officer took all my contact details and told me to wait for 48 hours. If any issue on any information needed, I would be informed.


Could you tell what happened in your case? Did they also tell you to go for biometrics at time of emergency call? How much time did it take to get the I 89 biometrics appointment notification?

Thanks a lot in advance. We all want to get this 485 baby down under us to move on in our lives.

The officer didnt say anything about biometrics during the call in march. she said that i should hear from them in 30 days. then i got biometrics in a weeks time and now i know that the case was already approved by that time.

So 2nd FP with biometrics means that you are close to approval, at least that is what it appears to be.

My FP was done in Nov 2004 and they have got FBI clearance. I was told that Bio Metrics is needed for issuing the card etc. and has to do nothing with FBI clearance.
I am hoping for some positive action.

When did you query FBI about your name check status?

I sent an email to FBI this January, no response so far? How long did it take in your case?

one was on November 11, 2004 answered on march 15th 2005 the second was on February 9, 2005 answered on march 17th 2005

I assume the answer is "your name check is cleared".
:)

If the name check is still pending, will they still answer or wait till it is cleared? Will they give the detailed information if it is still pending? This is a general question. Thanks for any answer.

answer wasn't that it was cleared. it was they provided results to uscis. for me they waited till it cleared. for some people they answered with pending.
