485 and FP

Hi,

I have two question:

(1) should I received anything from INS ot anybody after taking the electronic finger printing?

(2) From this web site, I see, for the past 3-4 months, that currently they are processing 485 applications filed on October/2001. Does this means that it has been almost stopped processing in the last few month? I see people in these forums get approval all the time. Confused. Anyone can explain?

No...

While doing the fingerprinting they will give you a receipt with the date that you appeared for fingerprinting stamped on it.

You will not get anything else from INS. Once the fingerprint results come through, they will update your info and you can check that online.

By the way, where/when did you get you get your FP done? I had mine done 1st week of Jan 2003 and the online 485 message is not updated yet.
