I am Indian national having H1B visa and my 485 is about to approve soon.
Yesterday I became Canada Citizen and I have Europe trip planned in June.

My delimma is:

Should I apply for canadian passport now. If so, what needs to be done wrt to 485 processing

OR

Wait until 485 approves and later change my passport.

If I don't get Canadian passport, I need to apply for visa for my trip. Please suggest.

Thanks in advance.

You automatically lost your Indian citizenship the day you acquired Canadian citizenship. You have no choice but to apply for and use a canadian passport for travel purposes. YOu are required by law to turn in your Indian passport to the nearest Indian mission.

485 approval has nothing to do with your passport, you will get the approval stamp in whatever paspsort you have at that time.

I cannot speak for the Indian citizenship but the Canadian passport will save you a lifetime's worth of bother with regards to visa stamping and associated nonsense. Get it.
