As per my company lawyer he has recieved 4 Aug \'99 approvals (EB3-INDIA) in last 10 days. He was really surprised that how could this happen because he still has pending cases of Apr/May/Jun/July 99. The most surprising case was of a guy who did his fingerprinting in 2nd week of July 2000. He is as confused as I am. He said INS should be processing strictly by the notice date (not Receipt Date). He also mentioned that the EB2/EB3 does not matter so long your priority date is current.
ANOTHER STORY - A friend of mine who applied through the same lawyer and same company called INS on friday and apprently he got a nice IIO. His PD-Sep 96, RD-8/3/99, ND 8/18/99 and he got the following response.
IIO said your file is still on shelf but it should be picked up by a clerk in next 30-45 days. After this Clerk will rearrange the papers in a folder and will give it to an adjucating office. After that there are various variable like how much load officer has, whether officer wants to send you RFE or not, and then they wait for visa number from state department.
MY STORY PD - 4/28/96, RD - 6/7/99, ND - 6/28/0, My automated message changed 4 weeks ago to \'Processing for your alien registration card or Greencard has been completed, your INS document will be mailed to you when it\'s ready\' However the IIO says my file is still pending.
