Hello..

Did anyone have any problems by applying 3 months before 5 yr anniversary.
We can apply soon but debating weather to wait 3 more months and then do it.

Thanks.

You can apply 90 days before the 5 year anniversary, to be safe wait several days more to avoid problems

There have been a few reported cases of the interview being scheduled before the 5 year anniversary. In this case they would either reschedule your interview since they wouldn't be able to approve your application, or set your application aside at interview and wait until you have met 5th year anniversary in order to approve case.

????

Seems like you're replying to the wrong thread.

Slow processing = not good, fast processing = maybe not good either? Nothing's straightforward with USCIS, is it? :) I saw a couple of responders to another thread indicating that they had their interview prior to the 5yr , but still had no issues with it. From what I understand, your oath date has to be after the 5 yr anniversary, but interview can be before. Hope the experts here can confirm...I applied just after the 90 day period, got the NOA, hoping the FP will be in Feb (later the better!), Interview in March..and Oath after March 26th (5 yr date)...

Whoever thought we'd have people hoping for things to go a little slowly??!
