INS should make intial EAD valid for two years instead of one year only. This should solve problems on both sides - applicants need not waste money/time and nerves; and INS would have less back-log of EAD processing.
patience GC, rememeber it is not just you who is applying for the EAD. Multiply the amount (120 + 85) by a couple of thousand, it adds up to a hefty amount.
