3rd EAD Approved

My 3rd EAD was approved today.

RD: 07/20/2004
AD: 07/23/2004

Mine is strange story. My 2nd EAD was pending since Oct 03, and CIS sent me a notice that they had terminated action on my case because I had obtained an interim EAD.

When I told my lawyer about the notice, she said she would apply for new EAD in person at VSC and get it expedited. She proved as good as her word and got me a new EAD (with a EAC04xxx reciept no.) within 72 hours.

I guess this is a good lesson to have a well qualified and connected attorney handling your case because they can work the system in ways that we as applicants cannot!
 
Your lawyer did a good job on your EAD.

But as I see it you are not just 'ead-despo', but a "gc-despo" :D . Hope your lawyer can take care of your I-485 too :)

In this process, one learns to be happy with small mercies. For this Friday and weekend, I am happy I got my EAD. Otherwise I faced the prospect of having gap in work authorization for nearly 1 month and corresponding loss of income.

I shall resume wait for 485 approval next week. By the way, I think you and me are in same boat. I am Jan 2003 485 applicant too, and I just finished FP2 last week (7/17).
