30 days passed, No reply to Senator inquiry as well....

I raised an inquiry through Senator a month ago. I used to follow up with his office every week (some times twice a week). I was given a standard answer, "They will reply. I will let you know as soon as I get a reply".

When I was concerned that the reply is not coming, I showed my concern. He said, "they usually reply and they do get back to us in a maximum if 4 weeks".

Even when 3 weeks had passed I had no answer. At that time, he said, "we will wait until 30 days are over and raise another inquiry". So my second inquiry has gone.

I hope that the adjudicating officer just does not get mad because of too many inquiries. Will he? Do I have any other choice?

LongGC, just feel sorry that you are still on such long way to gc, i read all your posts before and did not know how to help, and i got input to your post today.

a very close friend of mine went to consulate in my country for his visiting visa, he was told that they need one more month to run security check on him . then he waited and waited, three months passed, nothing happened. finally his phone went through a consulate assistant, he insisted on consulate, he got consulate, and consulate told him that he would make decision at the same day. eventually the consulate rejected his visa application and returned his passport at same day.

this example told us that some fo them are really not reasonable persons, we should be very careful and patient to deal with them, or "follow" them. personally i feel you have very strong case, you will have that damn card anyway, good luck, we are all waiting for your good news, buddy!

We all feel the feelings u have. most ppl from Special Registration country face same issue......... and we all hoping that in this month your approval would be on the way...... you would be tired hearing 30 days.....story........

But don't have more choices so....... keep in tough with cong/senators persons...... send emails faxes to Texas Director........

and wait....... we all pary for ur approval ......

:)

But I am not from special registration country. I am from India. It is just becasue of my former company who informed USCIS about layoff last year. I have filed Motion to Reopen the case as I am covered using AC21. When it comes to approval, they take so long time but they did not take any time to issue denial last year.

Feel sorry for you.

Where do you live ?

Can you physically go to Dallas TSC ? One option... it may work...

I would go to Dallas, but I do not see anyone who have has success. On what grounds will they accept me? There are many folks here ready to go to Dallas if they start looking into case just because you are in Dallas looking over IIO's shoulders.

LongGC,

I disagree with you.

No one posted their visit.

I went to Charlotte office twice for stamping - once for myself and once from my wife.

Both time, there were people who came to check status and find out what is going on with their cases. The officers inside and came back with reasonable answers. In one case, the result was even better - they issued him Temp GC too - he lost GC - reapplied - did not hear anything - finally the guy walked in.

I know more cases like that.

Why it makes sense for you to go and why they will listen to you :-

1. The current dates are close to your dates or already passed.

2. You already have some kind of communication going on.

3. You are going there to provide additional information and sort out the matter - NOT TO CONFRONT THEM (That is the key).

It is going to be battle but you got to fight it.

You may not get instant success but when they see a visit for specific A# and file number with request to handle the case, your case might get attention.

I don't know how far you are from Dallas .... It is a day's effort - be prepared to be not so successful too. Just like in India when you would go to the passport office to get your passport made - no one is likely to listen to you....but somehow you get the job done.

When approach thorugh one Senaor failed, I have contacted another one. They have promised me to raise an inquiry specifically asking the oficer "How long he/she would need to adjusdicate the case?"

I hope he/she does not get mad because of too many inquiries?
