Finally received emails that our (mine and my wife's) I-485s have been approved. It's three years exact from the receipt date and so glad that the long journey is over. I have tried all possible avenues - congressman, senator, expedite letter several times, phone calls directly to Texas service center several times. One of these probably worked. I came to know from congressman's office that I had two A numbers and two different files. The A number on my I 140 and I 485 were different and they could not associate my 485 application with the I 140. They had to physically consolidate two files and have me fingerprinted under the right A number. I did the last set of fingerprints just one week ago. It all worked out finally. I do want to thank this great forum for all the good advice and support. Thanks so much!
