After 3 years and 1 month and 3 days from labor certificate application, my and my spouse's green cards are finally approved! Just got email from Division XII and from USCIS about the approvals.

Details: (WAC 02-276)

02/13/02: Initiated labor certificate application
05/02: labor certificate approved in California
06/2002: I-140 applied
01/2003: I-140 approved after two RFEs
09/11/2002: I-485 applied (before I-140 approval)
10/2002: first fingerprint
03/2004: second fingerprint and I-485 RFE
08/2004: changed job from Calif. to VA and wrote CSC an AC21 letter myself
02/2005: THIRD fingerprint notice, FP scheduled on 4/7/2005 (not done yet)
02/24/2005: FBI email saying that name check results sent to USCIS
03/01/2005: Email and fax CSC that name check is done and my second fingerprints are only 11 months old, below the 15-month threshold
03/17/2005: Received email from CSC Division XII in the afternoon that case was approved 03/16, at night received another batch of emails from USCIS about approvals for both self and spouse

This has been a long and excruciating journey. 3 EADs and a job change from CA to VA. Ask all 4 senators and 2 congressmen to help (no help at all when name check is pending).

Thanks to all the participants on this board for sharing frustration, pain, impatience, knowledge, despair, indignation. I think I can probably be an ad-hoc immigration attorney myself now with so much time spent on doing research and learning from you guys, though I still have some questions.

Thanks agin.

Congratulations !! I can feel your pain.

I am still waiting .....

Here it is.

Here's the email from the FBI. I think usually they reply sooner if the name checks are complete. But if the name checks are still pending, they will probably wait until after the checks are done to send the email.

Congratulations!

How did you get labor certified so fast? It is a miracle comparing to that others spent 2~3 years on labor certification and someone is still suffering on this period.

My labor cert. was through special handling

My labor cert. was through special handling, since I worked for a university.
