Now it looks like it will take minimum 3 months to see September approvals. July case approvals started sometime in April 1st week and many are still waiting. I heard for some reason there are more Aug cases than July. I think we have to wait till october for our time.

(1) August cases are less than July cases. From rupnet.com data, August = 2/3 July.
(2) Security check bottleneck problem is a bit better now.
So I guess we can see September approvals around August, 4th 2002.
We are deeply trapped here anyway. What can you do.

But what I heard from my attorney is very disappointing. He told there are massive 140 approvals in Aug 2001(after 140 freeze from VSC). Many applicants who suppose to apply in July postponed to Aug because of marriage and other reasons. May be this is his experience from his clients. only people those who are waiting from years know about these immigration information sites. I just came to know about this portal site very recently. Most of the Aug and sep 485 filers started their journey in late 2000 and early 2001. so Augest has got considerable amount of RDs . may be not more than July but almost equal. I am optimistic but you never know what is really happening around.

It was mentioned by "bangy" that July approvals started from April. But actually they would have started from Jan01 onwards. May be less than 5 or 6 in Jan. Then in Feb 01, may be around 20. For these two months this just my guess. As per my observation, the approvals are like an arch.Start in low number, go to the peak, and again becoming low. This happened to JuneRDs. And so I am guessing for July also. From March onwards, the approvals are as follows for "July RD" as per my observation. As I followed the approvals every late evening from March,I am giving the approval number as follows.
In March02: 75 (approvals of July Rd)
In April02:113 (""
In May 02-:148 (""
In June 02: 51 (""
Total-----:387 (""
These are just posted approvals here. But we don\'t know how many other approvals are not posted as many I-485 filers do not visit these sites.Still another 100 approvals of JulyRD can be expected in the following months. I guess the number of approvals of JulyRD for the following months may get low and may start with August Rd.
In a list of 395 Aug Rds(which I collected from Rupnet,immitracker, nairobi.com and chat forums), there are already 34 approvals. Again these started from March.Early approvals and vague approvals are always rejected by some people.
