2nd TN and I-485 relationship

is the 2nd TN relevant to my 485 application at all?

I have a company lawyer who will file my 485 application next year (once my 140 will approve under EB2). I found another telecommute work, which will be under 2nd TN of course.

Do I have to inform my lawyer when he will ready to file 485 about my 2nd TN?

The primary company/sponsor will definitely not like that so I just wanted to hide from them about my 2nd TN if I can.

please advise.

The only thing relevant to your I-485 is that you need to be in a legal status when you submit the I-485. So ONE valid and viable I-94 is required. Pick one and send in a copy.

It doesn't even have to be the one issued for your sponsor.

sure, thx

My only concern was my lawyer said he needs to know everything, he need all my passports (2 of them) including all copy of the pages, my all issued I-94s in order to file 485.

So I just wanted to make sure before I tell him that I only have this I-94 (not disclosing my other job to him).

thanks

Like george sez, there is no harm in telling the lawyer, IF he works for you. If he works for your firm, then he is their servant, not yours. You seem to have a concern that your firm not find out that you work elsewhere.

His request for all previous passpots etc, is 'padding' of course, so he must get paid by the thickness of his files.

It may still be wise to tell him though, not for the I-485 sake, but for the sake of your other TN. knowing the timeline of that TN may influence when he submits your I-485 paperwork, as he might then take into consideration not only your sponsor's TN expiry date when deciding when to submit, but also your moonlighting one as well.

Thanks Nelson & George.

He is a company's lawyer, and my best guess is yes, he will tell them that I am working for somewhere else as well.

On the other hand, I wasn't sure why he was asking my other passports as I only use Canadian passport and not using my Pakistani passport anymore (infect by the time I will be ready to file 485, my Pakistani passport will be expired in 2009).

I do have a Saudi Arabian visa stamped on my Pakistani passport and just don't want to volunteer any additional information which is not required.

please advise that is it really necessary to send the copy of my Pakistani passport as well? even if its expired?

thanks once again.

Typically you need to provide the passport and stamp that you used to get into the country. If he has a copy from your last I-129 submission, he doesn't need anything from your passport other than a copy of the I-94.
