Hi,
Did anyone who spoke to a 2nd level IO (before receiving IL) got an answer saying your interview wasn't scheduled yet but received IL in the mail or LUD change very very soon after that? I just called and spoke to 2nd level IO and she said that I am not scheduled for interview yet. So, I am wondering if there is any point in hoping for IL very soon or not. Anyone with personal experience, please advice. Thanks.

I don't think they would lie to you. They would say they are not allowed to reveal information on phone or something along those lines.

I am not wondering if she is lying. Now I know I am not scheduled yet. That's not the problem. My question is, can I continue to expect IL very soon EVEN after knowing what my status was as-of-today. Since she gave a WISE answer (said cases do take six months to one year sometimes), I have to rely on the experience and advice of fellow travellers here. So, I posted the thread to know if anyone received IL immediately after knowing on a phone call that the interview wasn't scheduled until that phone call.

Definitely not. Unless you get stuck in the aft end of the bell curve, that is. In my experience the yellow letter to some degree and online status change for sure are good indicators the letter is on the way.

I got the same 5-6 month standard answer with the 1st level. But on the 2nd level either they didn't reveal or out right gave the interview date. I didn't get a yellow letter either. Don't have any traffic/arrests or any other citations.

Most time I spoke to a 2nd lv IO I felt they were honest. We had a lot of trouble with our timeline and I made it a point to try to contact a 2nd lv IO as much as I could. They even started to recognize me when I called. I beleive it may have help to show nice persistence with worry.

I remember calling one time and the IO said nothing was schedule and the next week things were different and went fast.

I hope things go well, but you should probably call at least 1 time a week.

Good luck

That gives some hope. I will probably call them soon when my patience run out again. :) :) Thanks.
