Vic2005 is talking about 2nd job, not job change. I have the same question:
Cand I keep valid H-1B on my 1st job (full time) and then use EAD on my second job (part time), provided that I have an approved 140 based on NIW?
I just had this conversation with my lawyer. His answer was "yes you can, but you will loose your H1-B status." So if you want to maintain your H1 throughout the 485 process (his recommendation), don't do it. As soon as you use your EAD, your H1 will become null. Now if you are on EAD, go right ahead.
