2nd job with EAD

Hi,

Can I get a 2nd job with my EAD (based on pending I-485). My NIW I-140 was approved last Oct.

Does this depend on whether NIW was self-petitioned or company has petitioned for me?

Hi Vic, just read the following thread that I initiated:

We covered your case. In short, as long as your I-485 has been pending more than 180 days, yes to your Q :)

Vic2005 is talking about 2nd job, not job change. I have the same question:
Cand I keep valid H-1B on my 1st job (full time) and then use EAD on my second job (part time), provided that I have an approved 140 based on NIW?
 
I just had this conversation with my lawyer. His answer was "yes you can, but you will loose your H1-B status." So if you want to maintain your H1 throughout the 485 process (his recommendation), don't do it. As soon as you use your EAD, your H1 will become null. Now if you are on EAD, go right ahead. ;)
