Waow..more things together? weef you even have more things together than me! I mean who understand this people....Have you buy things together? I mean is stupid even the business like to get one name because is easy. Do you have joint cellphone accounts? or something that indicates that you both are owners? a will, power of attorney and insurances!!
good luck,

Heres what I provided for proof (not all may apply to you but should give you an idea) -

Marriage Certificate
joint apartment lease
last two months pay stubs (if paystub is mailed to your home then it will have your name and residential address)
Bank statement of joint account
joint auto insurance
joint car purchase document
joint AAA membership
Car Registration letter from DMV (this has both names since the car was in both names)
medical and life insurance letter showing each other as benificiaries
correspondence received from family/friends with both names
joint Phone Bill with both names
joint Power bill with both names
joint Gas bill with both names
Last 3yrs of tax returns and w-2's (joint ones will atleast have common address)
photographs
Reference Letters from friends/neighbours
Reference Letter from church
Church Bulletin with both our names as usher printed
Church Directory with both our names and common address

Other items like Cherr indicated are joint cellphones, will, travel documents, etc.

Hope that helps.

You really get prepared...I have time, but I should start do it right now...good advice, I can't have the car change to both names because my husband bought it and since by that time I didn't have a SSN I couldn't get in. But the rest we can make it, so far we have the bank joint accounts, insurance, will and power of attorney.
Thanks! that give me good idea.

As much joint financial documents as you can possible get.
Here just few examples:
* Join last year tax return;
* Join bank account(s). You will need two last statements and some copies of cashed checks, some with your signature, some with your spouse’s.
* Last two utility bill(s) with both names and your address on it.
* Proof of Car/health/life insurances with both your manes on it.
* If you own anything together, like a car – need to bring a proof of that too.
* Did you take any trips together? Do you have tickets, hotel bills, and pictures to prove it?
* How abut wedding pictures? Even if you did not had a big fancy wedding and just went to the city hall – people usually like to keep memories of that special day, you should still have some pictures from your wedding day, or the afterwards celebration.
* Finally, bring at least three notarized affidavits from people who know you and can certify that you two are indeed man and wife.

Good luck!

Well, LONG time ago they did that until it they realized that it was costing too much money. But I heard that now and then apparently that occured and even they can ask your neighbors. But I really don't know if this really really happen.

"A third possibility is that the examiner will not decide right away but will send the case out for a field investigation. An INS officer may visit your home. INS field investigations of marriages are less common than people think, but they do happen. If the examiner sends your case to the investigations department, at some point in the future (sometimes several months after your initial interview), an INS investigator may appear at the residence you listed on the I-130 petition. The investigator is looking for evidence that you and your spouse are living together, such as men's and women's clothes, two toothbrushes, shaving cream, and perfume. The investigator may also talk to neighbors.

An INS investigator doesn't have the right to enter your house without either a warrant or your permission. Nevertheless, it is up to the two of you to prove that you are eligible for permanent residence. If you do not let the investigator in to look around, the INS may deny the marriage petition.

Good luck,

hi everyone,
i read that article kind thing, but i dont think so immigration has manpower to do the investigation. the people whose cases are so complicated need investigation, i know a person who came here on business visa then he filed asylum, it was denied, he got married and before interview divorced and again he married so immi officers came to his house to check. dont worry guys ur case r so simple. i had the same situation, i didnt have enough evidences during my first interview, they just sent me home. and after 1 and half yr i got second interview, but nobody came to my house to check.

I will welcome INS investigator into my house in a bit, if they would like to check on me. Whatever they need – just to make it done and finished already.
11 years in this country and I’m still waiting for that stupid Green Card.
Gets me extra cranky from time to time.

If you look at the first "DO NOT WRITE" official only section in your I-130, there is a checkbox for field investigation.....

They prolly wont come ring your bell and invite themselves in for a can of soda. From what i heard, if your case is really twisted and suspicious, they may have have vigilance around your house. Someone keeps a watch on you and you have absolutely no idea they are doing that. For simple and straightforward cases, they really dont care. I have read of USCIS knowing where you park your car, if the street you live in is a one way, where you went for your vacation, how much rent you pay and so on and so forth. Do not underestimate them...

Bring it on! I would like that they will check all the noises that my hubby and I do all the time HEHEHEHE uyyyy and how we are living and all that...if they just come this same week and give me my Thanksgiving Greeny Card! :) but oh well...keep dreaming! Actually in the I-485 they should put a choice that if you want a) interview at your DO or b) Field officer.
By the way for all the ones who relatives are serving, Happy Veteran's Day!!!
