2nd FP requirement on RFE cases

Has anyone received a second FP notice after an RFE has been issued?

An RFE was issued on my case on the 15-month expiration anniversary date of my first FP.

RD 12/18/01
ND 01/02/02
FP 03/07/2002
RFE 06/13/03

2nd FP --?
AD --?
 
My guess is officers issue RFE on cases, distribution dept issues second FP notice.
Once you replied the RFE, your case goes to
distribution dept, they will then send you
second FP notice, and then you take your second
FP, after BCIS get your second FP, they will
resume your case. Yes unfortunately, you have
to go through this. They are ultimately stupid
and not considerate all.

My case is an example.
Rd: 11/23/01
Nd: 12/12/01
FP: 1/24/02 Receivd by INS 1/31/02

RFE: 4/24/03 (15 month since first FP), no 2nd FP at this time.
RFE reply received by INS: 5/28/03

2nd FP issued on 6/2/03
scheduled on 6/30/03
 
Ok, so luk12's case is an example that 2nd FP may be required even if it has been assigned to an officer before 15th month of First FP. I had seen lots of postings in other threads in here where it was said that 2nd FP may not be required if the case is assigned to an adjudicating officer before 15th month expiry of the 1st FP.

Now my question is on just the reverse scenario, I mean, can we say that if we get 2nd FP after expiry of 15th month FP expiry, there is less possibility of getting RFE on issues like Medical or others (when there is no company change or company name change or ownership change) ? It all depends what are stages it passes through and what is checked at what stage.

What do you guys think?

I too got 2nd FP notice after RFE . Here are my details

RD : Nov 1 2001
FP1 : Feb 26 2002 FP Recvd : Mar 1 2002
RFE Issued Apr 28 2003
RFE Recv May 30 2003

FP2 Notice scheduled on July 10 2003

Nope the Online message has not changed, it still says that they have recvd the RFE docs .

I did my 2nd FP after RFE response rcvd. Details are

RFE issued 03/24/03
RFE response rcvd 04/24/03

2nFP issued 06/02/03
2nFP done 06/17/03 (two weeks ahead of appointment date)

My guess is that 2nd FP is automatically generated by their system as long as 15 month passed on your case. There is no connection with whether your case is being assigned to an officer or not. However, the officer will not approve your case unless your FP is valid. On the FP notice, there is one line says "Disregard this notice if your case has been approved", which kind of supports my guess.
 
This is wrong. some ppl's second FP notice are issued month after the expiration date. And some ppl get approved(IMAD on rupnet) even after FP expired.

However, I found a recent trend, if your FP expired, they will issue you a RFE regardless,
so then you will get a second FP after your reply the RFE.
 
Will the online message get updated after issuing 2nd FP notice or only updated upon receiving 2nd FP result? Mine is still saying that they got RFE reply on 5/28.

Few Questions... Please Help!

Friends,

My 1st FP is expiring on July 20 2003 (15 months after I gave my FP on Apr 20 2002)

My RD is Feb 2002, ND is Mar 2002.

These are my questions -

1. Will a RFE be generated, when my FP expires.

2. Will the RFE be generated only if the case is assigned to an officer or will be generated automatically irrespective of my case being touched or not.

3. Who will receive the RFE. Only the attorney or will it come to my address, as well.

4. What will the RFE say. What reason, documentation will it ask for

5. When will the second FP notice be sent. How long will it take before I receive it after my first FP expiry. Whether it depends on my RFE response

Guys.. Please help me here, I desperately need to know these answers.

Any body with past experience, please help.

Post 2nd FP any approvals ??
