2nd FP notice - received later than schedule date

I received my 2 nd FP notice today (9/4). As per notice they had scheduled FP for yesterday (9/3). I went to office today but they were close for labor day. I will have to check with them on tuesday.

I see that VCS mailed it on sep 1st and I dont know why did they schedule it so soon.

Anyone had this situation before?. Will I be able to reschedule it now?

I had the same situation, scheduled for 09/03 but recd. on 09/04. But my lawer recd FP notice on 09/02, so he sent it me by overnight, I did the FP as per schedule. But I know for sure its okay to go later time if you receive notice late.

I am going to try going on tuesday... Otherwise i may have to work on rescheduling it
 
i had the same scenarion ..ist FP sceduled for 09/02/2004 and me and my attorney ,both get the letter on 9/02/2004 evening only,so I just walked in next day first thing in the morning(reached there at 7:30 am) and I didn't say anything,neither did they..just gave them the notice and just got it done..I am chicago based..

joeJoy...FP can be done

Just explain the situation...they would allow you to give finger prints. Even though we have very similar RD and NDs for I485 I missed the first finger print during May 2003. In retrospect it appears that I didn't miss anything and now have less headache with this FP2. Since we have done our first FP during Feb 2004...something should happen in next few weeks regarding I485 approval.

My RD & ND are almost same as yours. We did our first FP1 on March 4th 2004, LUD's have changed on 8/26. Current Status both (myself and my wife) of us have our FP2 scheduled on 10/8.
 
why FP2 while FP1 is still valid?

imgTracker...I have no idea why 2nd FP was issued when the first is active for 15 months. USCIS has got their I485 process in some sort of loop...where one hand doesn't know what other hand is doing. Instead of asking for FBI/IBIS name checks they have issued 2nd FP. USCIS is behaving like a doctor who doesn't know how to treat common cold but knows treating pneumonia very well, suggested to a patient to take consecutive cold baths (i.e FPs). BY doing so..patient will get pneumonia and they can set right patient's problem...In this case set right the would be GC candidate by approving them.

It is all one's luck in this rotten GC process, where someone gets GC in no time without any problem while others go through several doors of hell before seeing the light.

On Satuday afternoon I got mail from INS.
Notice date 8/30/04
They mailed it on 09/01/04
They scheduled my wife's FP for 09/02/04

Now what I do as they mailed on wednesday scheduling FP2 on next day.
Should I call Local INS?
Does anyone knows local INS no for Las Vegas?
I searched on net but I got phone no. of office which do not do FP and they do not
know phone no of office that does FP.
Also I am primary I485 applier but last time i got Notice like week after my wife's.
I am hoping repeat.
 
I did go for FP this morning. But they said I will have to reschedule even though it is their fault. They retained the Notices with them and told me that they will mail the rescheduled notices based on the availablity.

Anyone have an idea on usually how long does it take to reschedule FP??. I guess it depends local office i guess.

Anyone has experience on

- How long does Local Application support center takes to send the reschedule FP notice.

- Any idea on when will they reschedule FP date. ( I guess this depends on local center ).

I am in process of making travel plans. Kind of stuck with this now.
