2nd FP Notice after waiting for 34 Months!

I got my 2nd FP notice today. It reads “Your FP card FD-258 on file with the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has expired. In order for the USCIS to continue processing yout application, it will be necessary to have your FP re-taken” I have been waiting since Feb 2005 about 34 months. Is this a step forward? Can I count on it that something good may come out of it?

I can't believe that i've been stuck for almost three years!!! I hope this is a positive sign.

I feel sorry for you Namecheck. I was called for the interview in Jan of this year, but since my DO did not have my file, I was told that I will be notified by mail once I am rescheduled for an interview. In Sept of this year, I got my 2nd FP notice (same story as yours) since my first FP had expired after 15 months. Immediately after about a week later I was rescheduled for my 2nd interview. I went for the interview in Oct and again the file was not present at the DO, so I was not interviewed and was sent home again. The bottom line is, you can certainly hope for the best but 2nd FP is no guarantee. USCIS automatically schedules 2nd FP after your 1st FP expires in 15 months. Keep us all posted.
 
Thanks Atlanta Brother! But i was wondering why didn't i receive the 2nd FP after 15month, it's been like 34 months now. Is there an explanation for that? I think they should have send me something way back but they didn't. I don't know what to make of this 2nd FP im jst hoping and praying that this is it. I hope i've been cleared. I sent several letters to my congress person, Senator Obama and 1st lady. I hope one this is working. Pls pray 4me. This wait is unbearable
 
i am hearing a lot of "second interview" .....

were you all got some reply/result in like 120 days after the first interview?

I think there is a rule that says they have to issue the second interview within 120 days after the first one and no result.

I may be wrong
 
Yes you're right but i have done my first interview in May of 2005. I passed but Name check is pending. I hope there is not going to be a second interview as i'm getting tired of this.
 
after FP waiting for 6 month you get green card

:)i filed application in north carolina at dec 21/2005 send first FP at 2/23/2006 after i don't hear noting for thim after one year i went to office he tell me send you letter appointment 7/6/2006 you don't came he tell me after 60 days thim sent letter 2nd FP hed expired after 15 month
 
I am going to call the officer that interview me tommorow. I will let you guys know whats up. I will also try to the FP tomorrow. Wish me luck!

just wondering why you haven't filed for 1447(b) since USCIS was unable to make a decision within 120 days of your N-400 interview.
