2nd fp needed to approve rfe?

I got rfe on may, 17
ack by june, 4th and waiting....

however, i did my fp last april, 1 03 and it is expiring.
do they have to issue me 2nd fp in order to approve my rfe now?

I have asked this to #800 number lot of times.
Everytime I got the answer it depends from Officer to Officer and 2nd FP is not compulsory.

I am in the same boat. My FP are expiring July 8. They acknowledged my RFE just this past Friday. Someone posted yesterday that their I485 was approved on the day their FP were expiring. So - wait till Friday and keep your fingers crossed. Till Friday you don't have to have your FP redone.

On the other hand maybe it would be beneficial if you sent them FP expiration fax? I am thinking of it myself, although I sent them one already - that's what probably triggered the RFE in my case.
