2nd FP - background check

Hi

I am a silent reader of this forum.Here are my details.

I got my second FP recently.I got a call from my lawyer.I did my last(1st) FP on Aug 2005.My PD was current at that time.I came to know i got struck in Name Check.

Now the question is ,if we got 2ndFP , it means the name check is been cleared ?? how soon we will expect the approval ??

GC_TN,

FP lose their value within a year of being taken, so USCIS need to re-take your finger printing again, or the FBI just got to them now, and they realize that are unusable. :mad: In some instance, after they are taken for the second time, the FBI could run them immediately and clear you, and that way your name check is done... :p

For now, be hopeful that some doosh is working on your case and your FP is cleared as soon as possible... :rolleyes:
 
after your fp, did u find out whether ur nc is cleared? my time line same as urs, i got 2nd fp notice on feb 15 07.
 
I got my 3rd FP in december.
On an enquiry by my attorney Early december they replied at the end of January ( yes after 2 months) that they are "awaiting results of Security and Back ground checks) and this was after my FP in Mid December.
So , no the 2nd FP does not necessarily mean that your name check is cleared.
Although I do hope for your sake that it is.
 
thanks. fingers crossed. also, can you ask the staff at the finger print appointment? do they know or they are just there to take finger prints?
