2nd FP and questions

Guys,

I got 2nd FP notice. My lawyer almost screwed me, I made him open my file to check if they got the notices, and they did 2 weeks ago!! and they sat on it for so long. I also moved from San Jose to Portland OR last week. I asked them to fax the FP notice (appt. on 01/17/2004) today and rushed to the ACS in Portland. They were very courteous and took my FP and told me that FP location does not matter as they just transfer the FPs to a national database, it looks like they are not INS but some private firm. My questions (maybe redundant) are
1) Is it OK to do early FP in a different location from that mentioned in the notice?Anyone done this before?
2) Whats the next step, wait and wait?
3) I moved within the same company, same title,salary, job description and group. But lawyer says we will need AC21 as Labor will not be valid and says no problems as everything is the same. So will there be any issues?

It does not matter if you did the FP ealry.

As far as changing of location is concerned, your lawyer is right in the sense that LC is based on a location. However since you are working the same company, it is still possible to say that upon GC approval you will be working in the area you lived before as the GC is for a future.

I think you should take second opinion with some other lawyer.
 
Location should not be a problem. As the FPs are sent to FBI and then to Service Center. Did check your online status if it is updated. I did 2nd FP on Jan 3rd and yesterday it is updated, :"The results of your FP was recived on Jan 7th and..."
 
If I get the message then fine, but it takes so long for them to update the data base. So the question is do I stay put? My scheduled date is 1/17. The idiot of my lawyer told me about the notice only yesterday and I rushed to the office to get the FP done He cooly told me to me to just do it in Portland itself. I have the worksheet they gave me after the FP was done which I can show as a proof if I have problems later.
 
Currently based on my experience and what I have heard, the online status is updated within 3-6 days from the date of FP

He has recieved his 2nd FP. But his concern is he has to do it in different ASC then the one mentioned in his notice.
 
I called FBI today today , they said that my 2nd FPs were received and that the 2nd FPs were clear and results have been sent to service center in CA. Online message is yet to be updated.
