2nd FP and name check

Dear all kind people,

I called FBI and they told me that my 2nd FP result was sent back to INS on Oct, 5. However my online status hasn't reflected this. I saw alot of people said that their message changed to something like: Your finger print result was received and your application resumed etc ... Is this a big concern? Can I call INS CS to verify they DO receive the result? Is anybody in the same boat with me? I also sent an email to FBI to ask about name check result 2 weeks ago but still no response. Sigh, where is the hope ...

You can't do anything about it. It usually takes anywhere between 1 week to few months for them to update your online status to reflect that the results of FP were received.

For my, I took my FP only June 20th and on July 28th the online status was updated.

Don't sweat much about it, it is not going to speed up your process.

It took two more weeks to update CIS status, it will be fine for you, I just did.

I gave my 2nd FP on Aug 19th. No updates or LUDs since then. FBI said that they sent back the results on the same day.

Name check is different from FP,
Name check only need do once for all your I-485,
BTW my LUD never change when Name check was done, and FP was done.
 
to the best of my knowledge, everytime you do FP, you go through name check. I may be wrong though.....I have a question though, am I supposed to get an email from USCIS stating they sent me a request for FP2? or do the letters just show up one day.....any insight would be much appreciated,

I am expert on this issue( I have personal experences), so believe me, Name check only once, FP every 15 months.

Thank you Ping for the confirmation on Name Check process. That helps a lot to people like me to understand the Name Check process :)
 
peterwang60, thanks, and thanks all for sharing the information. I am a 1/03 filer, did FP1 on 2/03, and never heard back.....so I wonder when would I expect the notice....I'll wait.
