Update on our case is - We received our second fringer print notice today.

Question - In Des Moines, IA can we appear for fingerprinting early .. that is before the appointment date listed on the notice from USCIS ? If someone has been in this spot, please do share your experiance.

I have the same question about this, too. I am from Omaha, Nebraska. Is there anyone who got FP before the scheduled date in Omaha, NE? Thanks.
 
Please note that in Des Moines, IA I have tried to appear for the FP 3 weeks before the actual date mentioned on the notice and that was in vain. They simply ask you to come on the day it is scheduled.
 
thanks for letting me know raja234. They just won't make it easier on themselves and us in any possible way. Not sure if i'm gonna be able to wait until 18th. That's when it's scheduled. Needless delay..

While we are at it, raja234 -- what is your current status. You got approved ? ND ? Thanks again for responding.

would you mind posting your RD and ND, as well as when you had your first FP done, and when you received your FP 2 notice?

my RD/ND are 2/14/2002 and 2/25/2002, and i am in iowa as well. my first FP was done 5/23/2002, which has since expired. so now i am waiting for FP 2, and just trying to get a sense of what the wait times are.

RD (not sure since I have never seen the actual I485 receipt notice)
1st fingerprint done on 6/9/2002
2nd fingerprint Notice Date 11/21.
2nd fingerprint notice recd in the mail today 11/26

I wrote a letter to NSC explaining that my 1st fingerprints are probably expired (15 months) and that they need to schedule me for 2nd fingerprints so that the fingerprints do not cause any additional delay. I don't think the second fingerprints will expedite tha case. I think they just knew they had to complete it at some point so since I sent a letter, someone out there must have said "might as well ..."

I hope it does expedite the case but I'm not expecting much .....

anyone else who submitted 2nd fingerprints but still waiting ????

u mean u were fingerprint in april 2003 right ?

u have mentioned RD of May2002 but Fingerprint date of April 2002 (earlier !!)

BTW --- i submitted my 3rd EAD application in October ! My current one expires in March 2004.

We should start a Des Moines thread !!!!

I have also received my 2nd fp notice.
Do you think the fp renewal process is automated and separate from the I-485 application or is there a remote chance that they might have opened our files ?

If you find out more about going in early for fp, do let us know.
 
My online case status says it is approved. I am from Iowa. The following are my details:
